The Sunlight
I opened my eyes after my meditation and became aware of the natural light falling on the objects all around me. The sunlight, clearly screaming joyfully that dawn has arrived. Now the other side of the planet is kept in the dark by the Divine. If you think about it, actually there is no day or night in cosmic reality, just this planet spinning around. It's our interpretation of the experience that gives names to various natural phenomena happening all around everywhere. What a phenomenon life is. What a phenomenon light is. It lifts my mood like nothing else.
Recently, I remember visiting Downtown Toronto on a sunny day. I've been there before at night several times but it was my first-time visit on a bright sunny day and it all looked much more beautiful. It felt like the crowds were smiling, the traffic was dancing and the buildings were meditating all at the same time. It doesn't look the same at night at all. Of course, the night has its own glory but the day has its own too. I wondered what a difference the sun can make to the experience of the same place.
It's beautiful when you look outside and there's sunlight falling directly on some objects making them look brighter in colors than those in shade, haven't you noticed? And the clouds, ugh... I can't describe their magnificence when the sunlight kisses their skin. Especially when it is the sunset time and the sun has turned red. The redness sparkling on the surface of the clouds makes it all look like a real-life work of art. This is the real work of art. Nature is the real work of art and the artist all at once.
I think I can never explain how I lose myself when I'm totally surrounded by the mother nature. It is an intense meditative experience in itself. The wonders of sunlight from lifting the mood to Vitamin D are popular but look at the wonders of it beyond all that is published in the books and magazines. It's much more of a miracle that can never be explained with mere words, you need to experience it by yourself
Next time you go out, just consciously experience the sunlight and all its wonders as joyfully as you can. I'm damn sure you are gonna have a really good time. You would be able to enjoy what others miss out just because they're lost in their minds all the time. Try taking a break from your thought patterns and look around, just LOOK around with some awareness. The world would look a bit more beautiful than you thought it does. Good Luck :)
